I’m just in the final testing stages of version 6 of my Discount Coupon System. There are no massive changes from v5, however, the codebase is now much leaner and more integrated – which means even less impact on your osCommerce store.
The main change in v6 is that it is now possible to set up vouchers for free postage.
Once I have completed testing v6, I will make another blog post showing a table with what extras are available compared to the free version 1.2 which is available at the osCommerce Downloads area.

I found your contribution to OScommerce comunity, and I want to implement it to my oscommerce, but I want to asky you, what happen when I buy somenthing cheaper than the discount ticket?
I want to create a prepaid system for my oscommerce, if someone deposit to my bank occount, or if someone buys a prepaid ticket under oscommerce, and with it buy items from te catalog.
In this case your discount ticket is almost near to what I need; just maybe adjust a few rules to maintain the value of the ticket minus each buy I made, until muy ticket goes to 0 as a discount for the last buy.

Hi John – the answer to this is no, as it’s an order_total module which I wanted to keep as cleanly coded as possible. It would of course be possible to update the codebase specifically for your needs, but of course that would incur some cost. oscshops@gmail.com Cheers, Gary

I have installed GV/DC and it worked great. I have since added a couple of other contributions and now the discount code box does not appear. …do you have any suggestions? Should I install it again?

Hi Keith – I’m guessing that you have the v1.2 installed available from the osCommerce downloads area? In that case, follow the install instructions again.
